Christmas Message from the CEO

I think it’s important that we use this time of year to reflect back on what has been achieved during the year at COR Cooling as a group and as individuals. I must say that it gives me great pride in the knowledge that COR has made a number of significant achievements throughout the year.

There is no doubt that our team is one of our greatest strengths as an organisation, along with our culture. We talk a lot about our values and how we can make a difference and how we can add real value to our customers. It is really important that we continually recognise and appreciate that it is indeed our own people and their skills and attitudes that make us who we are and therefore separates us from the crowd; we simply get on with it. We have a great culture and a great team of people at COR and I really appreciate the ongoing support, the hard work and the commitment that every person has shown during the last 12 months.

This commitment has enabled COR to continue to develop and continue to move forward in very challenging times. I am particularly proud of our achievements in safety. In 2015 COR has achieved 1000 Days Lost Time Injury Free across all divisions Australia wide. COR and its management was also recently recognised by the Western Australian Government when our Branch Manager in Kalgoorlie, Lloyd Needham received the “Individual Commitment to Safety Award” for 2015. Our safety track record over the past three years is among the best in the industry and recognition of this nature confirms we are on the right track. It takes a huge commitment to reach these sorts of milestones and I thank all our managers for their ongoing commitment to our safety values.

This year, COR has also been successful in winning a number of significant service agreement contracts with major mining companies in various states. In Western Australia, COR recently won a major five year service contract with one the world’s largest mining companies servicing their entire HME fleet operating at all sites in the iron ore sector of WA. COR was recognised as being the most capable of providing all the services required and was able to demonstrate the greatest value to the client following a lengthy and very detailed process. During this time, COR’s facilities were also audited and visited on numerous occasions and our accreditations and standards in safety, quality and the environment were well recognised. COR also won a significant tender for a similar services agreement in the Hunter Valley earlier in the year. I would like to acknowledge and thank our very loyal and supportive customers all around Australia for the way they have allowed COR to engage with them and to be able to collaborate and find real value in what COR has to offer.

Overall it has been a busy and very productive year for the COR group. We have celebrated and recognised individual achievements of our staff, our business and our milestones and we are optimistic about the future. We have much to look forward to so keep an eye on our web site and social media for further exciting news and announcements to come in 2016. We have a number of existing projects, new products and more major contracts to come early in the year and we are working on these in the background whilst our people continue to strive to exceed our customers’ expectations and help them achieve their goals. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and safe, happy and prosperous New Year.

Kind Regards,

Warren Arthur

COR Cooling’s Safety Win

COR Cooling, leading national cooling and heat exchange solutions provider, is proud to announce the receipt of a prestigious safety award by one of its team members.

Lloyd Needham, manager of COR Cooling’s Kalgoorlie Branch, has been recognised by the West Australian Government’s Department of Commerce in the 2015 Work Safety Awards. These awards recognise outstanding occupational safety and health management, solutions and innovation in the workplace that reduce the risk of work-related injury and disease.

Presented by The Hon Michael Mischin, MLC, Minister for Commerce and Attorney General of WA, Lloyd Needham received the award for the best individual contribution to safety and health by an OSH Manager or person with formal OSH responsibilities.

COR Cooling CEO Warren Arthur said, “We congratulate Lloyd and his team in Kalgoorlie on winning this award. Having one of our managers formally recognised for their commitment and contribution to safety is very satisfying and confirms we are doing things well and that we are on the right track.”

“We at COR Cooling are all very proud of this award. It recognises that COR Cooling, its management and staff are committed to a safer workplace and that we understand the level of leadership that is required in order to achieve our goals of Zero Harm in the workplace”, Mr Arthur said.

Welcome from the CEO

On behalf of all the team at COR Cooling, I would like to welcome you to our new website.  We are excited to showcase all of our capabilities, products and services and our growing locations around Australia.

COR Cooling’s new website will keep you up to date in a variety of areas including the latest news about our business and our  growing range of products and services.  We have also provided links to our social media accounts to make it even easier to stay in touch with us. We encourage you to tell us if you like our new web site, provide us with your feedback, or easily make an enquiry no matter where you are located in Australia.  COR Cooling’s new website enables you to easily navigate your way through the site and discover new product and service offerings that you may not have known about before.

I joined COR Cooling as CEO in February of this year and since then I have been working very closely with my dedicated team of managers and staff who are located  in seven different key service centres across Australia.  We are situated very close to our clients in capital cities and regional areas and that enables  us to provide a high level of service and fast track turn- around times.

You will see from our new website that we are diversifying into new markets such as marine,  transport, oil and gas,  power and rail, whilst we continue to grow  our existing and   substantial market base in the mining sector.

For decades, COR Cooling has been the leading brand name for industrial cooling and heat transfer solutions to the mining industry and now we are also able to transfer this expertise and experience into other market sectors using the same proven technologies and knowhow.

You can see by our national coverage and the standard of our service facilities that we have taken a significant step ahead of our competitors and this is not restricted to our locations, it is in fact our vision to be the best in everything we do.  Take a close look at our values for instance.  COR Cooling pride ourselves on these values and we are committed to doing what we say we will do and to delivering the best value to you.

Testimony to this is our improved safety standards where we have made tremendous progress  this year.  In fact the entire COR group have not had a lost time injury (LTI) in the past seven months and all our managers,  supervisors  and employees have been working closely together as a team towards our vision of ZERO Harm in all our workplaces.

We are also pleased to highlight our new look logo.  The COR Cooling logo now has the addition of the words  “Creating Optimum Reliability” placed underneath it.  This will start to appear on all our marketing, branding and advertising in the future and it will reinforce  who we are and what the COR brand name means to us.   We hope you like it and it means just as much to you in the future.
